To get the full $1,000 match at BetMGM Casino in New Jersey, your first deposit has to be $1,000. Any smaller deposit is matched dollar for dollar, so $200 gets you a $200 bonus. The match starts at a $10 deposit. Before you choose an amount, know that the deposit also sets your wagering: 15x the bonus. Pick the deposit you can actually clear, not the biggest one on offer. The whole thing takes about ten minutes.

What you need

  • A new BetMGM Casino account

The match is for new players only, per [Pokerfuse](https://pokerfuse.com/news/us-regulated-casinos/219328-double-your-money-betmgm-casino-deposit-match-bonus/).

  • To be physically in New Jersey and 21 or older

Location is checked by geolocation when you register and while you play.

  • A first deposit of $10 to $1,000

$1,000 is the most that gets matched. Anything above it goes into your balance unmatched.

  • Time to make the deposit within 30 days of signing up

Miss that window and the offer is void.

  • Enough bankroll and time to wager 15x the bonus within 14 days

For the full $1,000 bonus, that means $15,000 in slot wagering.

Claiming the match, step by step

  1. Register while you are in New Jersey. Once it has worked, you have an open account and no balance. Pokerfuse and DeucesCracked both say the base offer needs no promo code. Affiliate sites list their own codes, and they don't agree with each other.
  2. Claim the $25 on-the-house credit. This is separate from the match and needs no deposit. RotoWire says you claim it manually and it expires after 3 days if you don't use it.
  3. Choose your deposit amount from the table below. Work out the wagering before you pick, not after.
  4. Make the qualifying first deposit within 30 days of registering. When it has worked, your cash balance shows the amount you deposited.
  5. Check that your bonus balance matches your deposit. A $300 deposit should show $300 in bonus. A $1,000 or larger deposit should show $1,000. If the number is wrong, see the next section before you place a bet.
First deposit Bonus credited Total to play with Wagering at 15x the bonus
$10 $10 $20 $150
$100 $100 $200 $1,500
$500 $500 $1,000 $7,500
$1,000 $1,000 $2,000 $15,000
$1,500 $1,000 (cap) $2,500 $15,000

BetMGM doesn't publish set tiers. The match is a straight 100% up to the cap, so every amount between $10 and $1,000 works the same way. The rows above are sample points. They come from the dollar-for-dollar rule Pokerfuse describes and its own example of a $100 bonus needing $1,500 in wagering. We didn't check this against BetMGM's own terms page. Every figure here comes from third-party reviews dated July to October 2026.

Only slots and jackpot slots clear the bonus at the 15x rate. Table games count for much less, so the games that count toward wagering decide whether the bigger deposit is realistic for you. If you won't wager $15,000 on slots in 14 days, the full $1,000 is the wrong deposit for you. A $200 or $300 deposit gives you a bonus you can actually clear.

If it did not work

Don't count on it. Every source describes the match as applying to your qualifying first deposit, and none says a later deposit tops it up. If you want the full $1,000, it has to go in as one deposit.

That's correct. The match stops at $1,000, so the extra $500 is plain cash with nothing matched on it.

Most sources give $10 as the minimum, but DeucesCracked lists it as $10 to $20. If a $10 deposit didn't trigger the match, contact support before you play. Next time, depositing $20 or more meets both figures.

The offer has expired. Sharp Football Analysis, BettingUSA and Pokerfuse all give 30 days from registration for the qualifying deposit.

Once your bonus is credited, you know exactly how much you have to wager and how long you have to do it. What comes next is whether that wagering is worth it: what clearing 15x costs you, and what happens if you play a game that doesn't count.
