In New Jersey, DraftKings' welcome offer costs far less in wagering. You put $5 through the casino and get 1,000 Flex Spins whose winnings land in your cash balance. BetMGM's 100% match up to $1,000 needs $15,000 of slot play inside 14 days to clear in full. Claim BetMGM only if you were going to deposit a real amount and play that much slots anyway. Everyone else should take DraftKings, and the whole difference comes down to one term: BetMGM's bonus carries a 15x rollover and DraftKings' spin winnings do not.
A limit on what follows. This comparison was meant to rest on each operator's own terms page. Neither terms page is among the sources used here, so every figure below comes from third-party listings dated June to October 2026. Several of those listings disagree, and where they do, this page says so. Check the live terms on each operator's promotions page before you deposit. football365 directs readers to casino.draftkings.com/promos for DraftKings' full rules.

BetMGM Casino
The version of BetMGM's NJ offer that Rotowire's July 2026 roundup describes has two parts. A $25 no-deposit bonus that you must claim manually and that expires if unused for 3 days. Then a 100% deposit match up to $1,000 on a first deposit of at least $10, with a 15x wagering requirement to finish within 14 days, on slots and jackpot slots only.
What it does well: 15x is a low multiple next to the rollovers that burned most readers of this site, and the match ceiling is the largest dollar figure either operator puts in front of you. Where it falls short is the clock. Fourteen days to run 15 times the bonus through slots is a heavy schedule at the top end, and table games do not help, since only slots and jackpot slots count.
The figures are also less settled than they look. Sports Betting Dime, updated October 8, 2026, shows "$1,000 match + $25 on the house" in its promo table but describes a 100% match up to $2,500 elsewhere on the same page. A DeucesCracked breakdown also uses $2,500 and gives a 30-day expiry, not 14. And two October listings (PokerFuse and Rotowire's October 12 roundup) show a spins-led offer instead: up to 1,000 Bonus Spins plus a daily wheel that can award a match of up to $200. None of these sources states a maximum cashout on the match.
The full single-offer walk-through, including the $25 credit, is in the BetMGM New Jersey teardown. Buy this one if you play slots in volume and would deposit at least a few hundred dollars anyway.
What BetMGM's 15x costs at three deposit sizes
Hypothetical, using the 15x-on-bonus, 14-day terms from Rotowire's July 2026 listing. The $15,000 figure for a full $1,000 match matches PokerFuse's own calculation, which means the multiple applies to the bonus only, not bonus plus deposit. The expected-loss line assumes, purely for illustration, slots returning 96%, the RTP DeucesCracked gives for BetMGM's Bellagio Fountains of Fortune.
| $100 deposit: bonus / wagering / per day over 14 days | $100 / $1,500 / about $107 |
|---|---|
| $500 deposit: bonus / wagering / per day | $500 / $7,500 / about $536 |
| $1,000 deposit: bonus / wagering / per day | $1,000 / $15,000 / about $1,071 |
| Expected slot loss on $15,000 at 96% RTP (hypothetical) | about $600 |
At the top end you would be expected to give back roughly $600 of the $1,000 bonus while clearing it, before variance, and you have to keep up about $1,071 of spins every day for two weeks. Miss the window and the remaining bonus is gone.
- 15x is low for a deposit match
- Largest bonus ceiling of the two, $1,000 per Rotowire
- Low $10 minimum deposit
- Separate $25 no-deposit credit
- $15,000 of slot wagering to clear the maximum
- 14-day window per Rotowire, 30 days per DeucesCracked
- Only slots and jackpot slots count
- Published match ceiling conflicts between $1,000 and $2,500
DraftKings Casino
DraftKings is not running a deposit match in New Jersey in any October 2026 listing. Wager $5 and you unlock 1,000 Flex Spins, released at 50 a day over 20 days on 100+ select slots. Rotowire values each spin at $0.20, so the full package has a $200 face value. Rotowire, Sports Betting Dime and Bonus.com all say spin winnings go straight to your cash balance with no playthrough.
One source disagrees. football365's October 2026 page says Flex Spin cash winnings must be wagered 1x before you can withdraw them, with most slots and keno counting 100%, select table, live dealer and slot games 20%, and craps, baccarat and video poker 0%. Even if that is right, 1x on spin winnings is a trivial requirement: winnings of $50 need $50 of slot play.
Where it falls short is attendance. Each day's spins expire 24 hours after you pick that day's game, and a day you skip is lost. Miss 5 of the 20 days and you have forfeited 250 spins, $50 at face value. The offer also has a lower ceiling: $200 of spins is all there is, against BetMGM's $1,000 match. A June 2026 BettorsInsider piece described a DraftKings NJ package with a lossback of up to $1,000 in casino credits, but later listings do not repeat it, so do not count on it. No source gives a maximum cashout.
Buy this one if you want a bonus that costs $5 of wagering and will log in most days for three weeks.
Where they part ways
Wagering cost. This is the gap that matters most. DraftKings asks $5 up front and, at most, 1x on what you win. BetMGM asks 15 times whatever it matches. Taking each at its maximum, that is $5 against $15,000. The low 15x multiple does not change this. It is only low compared with older offers, and why low wagering still has a catch covers that in detail.
Where the risk sits. With BetMGM you risk your deposit as well as the bonus, and you have 14 days to finish. With DraftKings your own money at risk is the $5 qualifying wager. What you can lose is spins, and you lose them by not showing up, not by losing hands.
Ceiling. BetMGM's ceiling is five times DraftKings' $200 face value. For a slots player who would have cycled $15,000 through BetMGM in two weeks anyway, that larger ceiling is real money. For anyone else, the hypothetical example above suggests most of the extra headline value goes back to the house during clearing.
Which one to claim
Claim DraftKings if you were burned by a rollover before and want a bonus that costs almost nothing to unlock. You wager $5, log in daily for 20 days, and keep what the spins win, subject at most to a 1x playthrough. It is the cheaper offer by every wagering measure available, and for most readers the difference is not close.
Claim BetMGM only if three things are true: you play slots, not blackjack or video poker; you would deposit a real amount anyway; and you can wager 15 times your bonus within 14 days without stretching your bankroll. If you are depositing $100, that means $1,500 of slot play in two weeks, which is manageable. At $1,000 it means $15,000, which is not, for most people.
You do not have to choose only one. They are separate operators, so nothing in these listings stops you from claiming both. The sensible order is DraftKings first, since it costs $5, and then BetMGM at a deposit size whose 15x you can actually clear. Before either, confirm on the operator's own page which version is live. October listings show BetMGM moving toward a spins offer, and the match terms above may already have been replaced.
